Thursday, April 12, Michel Sardou bid farewell to the scene. The 71-year-old singer had made an appointment with his fans at the Musical Scene of Boulogne-Billancourt to celebrate the latest show of his career. For more than two hours, the public has taken with emotion the great hits of the singer such as France, The disease of love or the Lakes of Connemara. Very moved, Michel Sardou left the scene in tears. In a burst of love, he offered his tie to a girl present in the pit.

Nearly 4,500 people came to watch the star’s farewell. Among them, Mylène Farmer or Valérie Lemercier had made the trip to warmly applaud the singer as reported by our confrères du Parisien this Friday, April 13. The day before, Jean-Paul Belmondo and Guy Bedos also came to cheer for their friend.

On December 27, on TF1’s 20-hour TV show, Michel Sardou explained why he was putting an end to his musical career. “There comes a time when I say to myself, I prefer to stop now where I’m in shape, where I’m good and where I have the voice … to decline slowly” had entrusted the star of 71 years. Michel Sardou leaves the scene but will be back on the boards in the second half of next year. A chance for fans who do not leave their idol forever: Michel Sardou has indeed chosen to return soon to his first passion, the theater.
